Dear Graduating Students, Families, and Friends,

The work that students do throughout their tenure at Springfield College culminates with the conferral of bachelor, master, and doctoral degrees. Each year, Springfield College trustees, members of the faculty and staff, and I look forward to celebrating our students’ accomplishments at our annual commencement exercises. This ceremony is a way to honor and mark years of study and preparation, and celebrate the beginning of the next phase of our students’ lives.

Please join us for the 137th Springfield College commencement exercises, planned by our Commencement Committee, to be held in Springfield, May 11-12, 2024.

For undergraduate students, seniors will plan and participate in our traditional Baccalaureate program to be held on Saturday, May 11, 2024, at 1:30 p.m. on the campus. Seniors and families alike agree that it is one of our most meaningful events, so I encourage you and your family to attend. Then, the Undergraduate Commencement Ceremony will take place Sunday, May 12, 2024, at 9:30 a.m., at the MassMutual Center in downtown Springfield.

For graduate students, the Graduate Commencement Ceremony (including the hooding of all doctoral candidates) will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2024, at 9:30 a.m. on the campus.

We hope that graduates will invite their families and friends to share in the weekend celebration. Information on each event, as well as relevant telephone numbers can be found at springfield.edu/commencement. Please carefully review this information and call us with any questions.

We look forward to celebrating with you in May and honoring the triumphs of our graduating scholars.

Sincerely,

Mary-Beth A. Cooper, PhD, DM

President
